WAM and Fam

WAM & Fam (formerly Wheaton Area Moms) is an independent community of parents and primary caregivers of pre-elementary aged children (0-5). The purpose of this group is to find people in a similar season of life to lean on, laugh with, and support each other. WAM aims to foster long-term community and relationships. They welcome all parents for weekly age-based play groups and monthly meet ups for both parents and children.

Mama Love Collective

Mama Love Collective is a DC Metro Area group that creates communities of soon-to-be mothers and current parents. They support community "circles" for groups from pregnancy through parenthood for both new and veteran moms. ​Their community is based on non-judgmental support and is a place for everyone who identifies as a parent to be seen and heard. Groups meet in person locally and virtually.

PACE

PACE is a non-profit that provides group-based educational and emotional support to first and second-time moms in the DC region. Moms are placed in local groups that meet for two-hour sessions over the course of 8 weeks for new moms and 5 weeks for second-time moms. Groups are capped at 12 participants, and all groups are facilitated by trained mental health professionals who are also moms.

SIXX Cool Moms

Montgomery County has a local chapter of Sixx Cool Moms, a national social network built by moms, for moms. This group is a space for moms and moms-to-be to find community. They host regular events and meetups, share resources and advice, and aim to build real friendships amongst members. Membership is free and managed mostly via Facebook.
